Remodel of a 1950's remodel to a 1930's house. Many of the houses in this neighborhood have or had a Galley style kitchen. Architectural restrictions made it difficult to make it anything else and the client did not mind the configuration as it was roomy with lots of counter space and was efficient to work in. The remainder of the house had been remodeled with a French Country flair years before and the Kitchen needed to catch up. Awkward soffits were removed, angles and sight lines were corrected and 50's metal cabinets were replaced with furniture style cabinets. The final result is a bright airy kitchen that complements the rest of the house.
